The application for factory trawlers and fishing vessels is typical insulated pipes in compressor room, fish factory (plate freezers), cold stores and in cargo area.
The pipes that are normally insulated is:
- Brine pipes [NACL2]
- Pipes for ammonia [NH3]
- Freon pipes [HFC]
- Carbon dioxide [CO2]
One of the key factors regarding insulation is actually the ability to reduce heat loss to an absolute minimum. Another very important factor with especially cold systems is to avoid and condensation on the pipes.
